Your Baby Your Birth was founded by Oge Emetarom in 2017. Since day one, YBYB (previously Nnenne Birthing Services) set out to support birthing bodies during one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives in hopes to remind them of their power.
Oge received training from DONA International, Ancient Song Doula Services, Spinning Babies, and the ALPP (to name a few).
With a yoga, dance and athletic background, Oge emphasized the importance of mindfulness, movement, and breath while keeping families well-informed with evidence-based information.
YBYB understands that each and every birthing person is different.
With that in mind, YBYB serves with a nurturing, empathetic spirit supporting with adaptive, personalized care.
Birthwork is a part of all of our shared history. Throughout time, the practice of birthing humans being surrounded and supported by others during this sacred moment is archetypal.
We continue that lineage by providing support during labor and birth with communication, guided meditation, movement, music, massages, aromatherapy, and most importantly — love.
Our birthworkers are highly trained and experienced with unique backgrounds to support the diverse clients we receive.
“I’m forever grateful for the honor folks bestow upon me to be a part of their birth story. I’m able to offer parts of who I am, while trusting my intuition, protecting the surrounding energy, and helping to create an environment for a powerful transition.”
